Beyond her extensive work in entertainment, Sahu is deeply committed to social causes and public service. She serves as the state Ambassador for UNICEF and the Government of Odisha's campaign for the eradication of child labor, as well as the ambassador for the Junior Red Cross. Her prominent public profile also led to her appointment as the brand ambassador for the Deccan Chargers during the fifth season of the Indian Premier League. In her personal life, she married fellow Odia actor Sabyasachi Mishra on March 1, 2021, in Jaipur, and the couple welcomed a baby boy on January 22, 2026.
