The Micheals

Truly a masterclass in terms surreal filmmaking. Masterfully blending the warmth of a family sit-com with the horrifying, bizarre and enthralling terror of entrapment within a world far beyond our comprehension. Within the film, Stein's unique and defined vision takes shape with near perfect accuracy, each cut, angle and line; building the relentlessly horrifying atmosphere. The line "I think we in Hell", Spoken in backwards speech by the mysterious "Elizabeth", serves as the films thesis statement. Helping us further understand the themes of complete loss of agency and control. Overall, this short is very, very much worth a watch!
